FAQs - Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination - This is useful when the husband sperm count/motility is low, for women who need to use donor sperm as in azoospermia (no sperms), failed ovulation induction/timed intercourse cycles, mild endometriosis, unexplained infertility.

In this, sperms are placed directly inside the uterus close to the tubes around the time of ovulation. This reduces the time and distance sperm has to travel, so there is increased chance of fertilization and pregnancy.

This is cheaper than IVF/ICSI and has a success rate of 15-20% depending on the clinical condition of the patient
